The Power of Community Collaboration
“People of all ages who feel a sense of belonging tend to lead happier and healthier lives, and strong communities create a more stable and supportive society.”
GetAssist is built on the notion that a community is a powerful thing and can have a tremendous impact on our lives. Through collaboration, understanding and a willingness to help, our communities flourish. But what makes a strong community and why is it so important?
Inspiration
Running a business, raising children or simply living your every day life is tough work and it’s easy to run out of steam. Some of our best moments come when we’re sharing ideas and interacting with people—from happy hours to long walks, you never know which conversation can spark new ideas and inspire you to go all the way. Interacting and collaborating with people who can challenge you to be better is one of the best paths to personal growth.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” –African proverb
Wisdom & Support
Making decisions based purely on our life experiences thus far isn’t always the most effective strategy. We all need that second part of the equation, we need feedback! Why not look to those around you who are struggling with (and overcoming) similar problems? Learning from other people’s mistakes and successes can save a lot of time in the long run. Being involved with an active community of support can make anything in our lives even easier to manage. Just don’t forget to teach meaningful lessons you’ve learned to people who may need it, too.
“Unity is strength, when there is teamwork and collaboriation, wonderful things can be achieved.” – Mattie J.T. Stepaneck
Accountability
It’s amazing what we can do when we make your goals, desires, dreams and ambitions public. Hold yourself accountable to yourself and others and you will take your abilities, motivation and other skills to new levels—and make your community that much stronger.
“If we write our dreams and goals down, we dramatically increase our odds of realization. If we share them with others, they become potent and alive.” –Kristin Armstrong
Communities can be local, or they can be online. Online communities like those created by GetAssist are helping to create the strongest communities ever seen, and increase positive collaboration for all. Want to join?
